I should take a moment to point out that our group consists of two separate but related divisions. First we have a "local" contingent that plans to meet semi-regularly for discussion. We are also lucky to have correspondents from a variety of locales who will be reading along with us and contributing to this blog. Of course, those participating from afar can form their own local discussion groups as well. I'd also like to say that everyone is welcome to participate in our discussions, and that you all can invite anyone you think might be interested.

Currently we have four correspondents, Tim, Ryan, candle_face, and Catlan. I'm excited that you will be joining us; thank you all for participating.

Finally, as Rubyrun mentioned we have to figure out when we can get together for our first meeting. I proposed sometime during the week of Aug 13-18. If this is ok, I can put up a poll to decide the specific day, or we can just talk to one another and figure it out.
